Counselling is a space to slow down. We explore your thoughts and feelings- becoming curious about what is happening in your life. It offers an opportunity to process experiences and explore challenges.
Unlike advice-giving, counselling isn't about someone telling you what you should do. Instead, we work collaboratively to help you gain greater self-awareness, discover your own strengths, and make decisions that feel right for you.
Everyone's journey is different, and counselling can provide the time and space to explore whatever feels important to you at your own pace.

Being nervous to start therapy is normal as it is a new and unknown experience.
Hence, I offer an optional free 20minute consultation online. During this call we can briefly go through what you are hoping to gain from therapy, how I can guide you as your counsellor, any questions you may have, fees and availability.

Finding the right therapist is just as important as the journey itself. That’s why I believe therapy is a collaborative process and I aim to provide a warm and compassionate space for your exploration. However, it’s equally important you feel comfortable with me and our way of working feels right to you.
To help, I currently offer an introductory first session at a reduced rate to give us an opportunity to meet and explore what has brought you to therapy.
There may be occasions where your needs may fall outside my current level of competence. In these scenarios I will discuss openly and honestly with you. If appropriate I can help signpost or refer you to another therapist/service that may meet your needs better, while supporting you through that process wherever possible.

Yes, I offer online counselling sessions via Google Meet. Each session lasts 50 minutes and takes place at a regular weekly time to help provide consistency and structure to the therapeutic process.
If a change of time is needed, we can discuss this together. I will also always aim to give as much notice as possible if I need to rearrange a session and will offer alternative times where I can.
Although online sessions are an option there is great value in meeting face to face for sessions. It might be worth considering to connect face-to-face so feel free to give this some thought if the location suits you.

Currently I do not offer concession rates and my fees are fixed for all clients. However, please check back at a later date as they may become available in the future.

Yes, confidentiality is an important part of how I work and is guided by the BACP ethical framework.
However, there are some limited circumstances where this may be broken such as serious concerns of harm to yourself and others, safeguarding concerns, or if I am legally required to share information. Wherever possible, I would aim to discuss this with you first.
Confidentiality and its limitations will be discussed in more detail during our first session so you will have an opportunity to ask any questions.

Each session is 50minutes long.

Unfortunately it isn’t possible to give an exact number of sessions as each person’s needs and goals in therapy are unique.
Therefore I offer open-ended therapy which means we will work together for as long as it feels helpful. We will also review our work to ensure it still feels useful and aligned with your goals.
When we are approaching the end of your therapeutic journey, we will usually agree to a notice period of 2-4 weeks to allow time for reflection and bringing our work to a safe and supportive closure.
